A cybersecurity expert becomes a whistleblower after uncovering secrets about aliens, putting him on the run from a corporation. Meanwhile, a meteorologist experiencing strange phenomena joins forces with him to prove there's life beyond our understanding.

A small movie that punches above its weight. Paul Rudd plays Rick, a wedding singer who's slowly accepting that his shot has passed, and Nick Jonas plays Danny, the fading boy-band star who accidentally turns one of Rick's songs into the comeback hit of the year. What sounds like a setup for cynicism plays out with more grace than you'd expect.

Rudd is doing what Rudd does — likable, lived-in, every reaction shot earning laughs without trying — and Jonas is a real surprise. He plays Danny as self-aware enough to be charming and self-protective enough to make the central conflict honest.

The script never quite breaks new ground but it doesn't need to. Funny, kind, and an easy recommendation for date night.
